How much of this EV charge could your solar cover?
Use the figures from one charging session to compare your solar generation, household use and EV charging. The result is an estimate for that period, not a record of electricity flows moment by moment.

Energy is shown in kWh. All calculations run in your browser.
Ready when you are.
Enter values for one aligned charging interval, then calculate. No result is created from example or default values.
What this estimate can and cannot show.
Solar available after household use is gross solar generation minus gross non-EV household use for the same active charging interval, never below zero. Estimated session wall energy is average wall-side power multiplied by active charging duration. The battery/SOC reference is shown separately because charging efficiency is not an input.
Totals within a window do not show whether solar, household use and EV charging occurred at the same moment. The real solar match may be higher or lower. If charging ends early, use generation and household-use totals for that shorter active interval.
The usage-charge estimate applies your entered rate only to the grid-energy remainder. It excludes supply and demand charges, rate changes, discounts, fees, taxes, concessions, feed-in credits and the value of foregone exports.
The tool does not model forecasts, weather, home batteries, curtailment, export controls, network or inverter limits, equipment suitability, installation, savings, or V2H/V2G compatibility.
